In this role, you have the opportunity to

Be a part of the Engineering team. It is a dynamic team which specifies, designs, implements, tests for manufacturability, sustainability, serviceability and delivers the electrical and mechanical hardware on which our SRC portfolio are based.

Your role:

Supporting the specification, design, and development of respiratory portfolio and products for the hospital and mobile markets. Provide support to production products in a high-tech factory environment.

You are responsible for

Develop and support Production electrical and mechanical tests and test equipment and protocols to provide a traceable verification of the product.

Investigate and determine root cause of product issues for production products and determine appropriate resolution.

Engage in product development and introduction efforts as a technical contributor on the Supply Chain NPI EE and ME team. This includes providing DFx (Design for Manufacturability, Testability, Reliability, and Serviceability) input into product requirements, PCa design, pneumatic design. Product test planning, producing technical solutions to meet the requirements, and performing liaison engineering activities as required to introduce products into a factory: in-house or at a partner.

Use knowledge of Analog and Digital Electrical hardware design processes, software/firmware development to solve problems such as design for durability/reliability and design for global manufacture and service.

Document Electrical and Mechanical development efforts, including requirements, change proposals, specifications, plans, reviews, verification test procedures, and reports.

Support partner relationships for externally designed hardware

Specific Competencies Required

Writing test protocols to verify requirements

Executing verification test protocols

Identify the necessary test tools & equipment for testing

Experience with equipment for measuring the flow and pressure of gases

Maintain and operate lab equipment

Engineering data collection, including data acquisition system setup, debugging, and data quality review

Troubleshooting, failure analysis, and maintenance of units under test

Document test results, summarize tester data and provide verbal and/or written reports

Technical Skills & Experience

Experience working directly with test equipment and devices under test in an R&D environment

Working knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems

Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills

Familiarity with data acquisition systems and sensors used for engineering data collection

Personal Skills & Requirements

Self-motivated to investigate and solve difficult problems

Ability to clearly articulate issues quantitatively both verbally and with documentation

Willingness to give and receive constructive feedback and take necessary action

Ability to manage multiple projects at once, prioritize and complete tasks to meet deadlines

Flexibility and adaptability while working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

BSEE/BSME or Computer Engineering Degree

3+ years on the job (full time) in an Engineering role a must.

Prefer Medical Device experience.

Methodical, high attention to detail, and effective troubleshooting/problem solving skills

Self-motivated and able to learn quickly from others, recognize problems and take corrective action when appropriate

Excellent writing and verbal communication skills

A team player who proactively seeks out expertise and advice from others.
