Need another reason to apply Check out these 8 reasons to join Stryker’s engineering team: Position: Engineer – NEUROVASCULAR IMPLANT Testing Job Title: Engineer – Neurovascular Implants Testing Reports to: Automation Lab In charge / Lab Manager Roles and Responsibilities This position requires the person to work on life and performance testing on products such as Neurovascular Stents, embolization coils, Balloon stents, etc. This role requires to conceptualize, develop, perform, and qualify test methods which will quantify the product performance and life. The candidate will work in coordination and guidance with the respective area lead for the Test Lab- ensuring right procedures & practices, embed skills in the assigned staff in a world class Infrastructure. The individual should be an energetic, highly self-motivated, and detail-oriented Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer with working experience on equipment like MSI IDTE3000, Harland Friction Tester FTS 6000, Instron Material Testing Systems, Radial Force Testers, etc. As a part of Automation test lab, one has to be pro-active in finding solutions to the problem and keep going with best foot forward. These responsibilities cover all phases of development, from brainstorming and evaluating concepts through trouble shooting and support on the floor. In this role, you will: Work in close coordination with R&D project teams for understanding of product under test, scope of testing and the deliverables, in order to appropriately integrate controls components into overall test setup design. Review and/or generate technical documentation (e.g., lifecycle documentation, Test Reports, Data logging formats, Technical requirements, etc.) for testing purpose. Coordinate with Design team for test methods, protocols, conceptualization of test setups, feasibility discussion, detailing etc. Supervision of test execution and observations with operator and supervisor Qualification of the test systems or custom designed fixtures/tools before deployment. Participate in design reviews, feasibility study, installation, and troubleshooting. Manage individual project schedules and routinely report progress. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Plans for specific equipment, material needs depending upon the projection of projects. Provide inputs on Capex, Opex & budget planning. Performs other duties as directed. Desired Profile Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics from an accredited university. Experience: 1 + years of product testing. Lab automation equipment experience is a plus. 1 + years exp. with Neurovascular Products such as stents, Catheters, Embolization coils, Guide wires, etc with it’s application and performance testing. Should be knowledgeable about advance sensor and their technology -Load cell, torque sensor, temperature, displacement, proximity, contact/non-contact etc. Process oriented and should be aware about the quality processes of lab as per ISO 17025. Should have work on test data analysis and suitable statistical methods including measurement system analysis. Conceptual knowledge of mechanical systems – Strain, torsion, noise, vibration, impact, fluid dynamics, Pneumatic system, vision and motion etc. Understanding of Calibration process and experienced with Gage analysis for any required measurements in the testing. Experience with statistical tools – minitab is an added advantage. Personality: Mechanically inclined, strong problem-solving skills, hands-on individual. Highly enthusiastic individual with friendly attitude towards all colleagues Strong oral and written communication skills. Specific Job Skills: Ability to conceptualize the fixture (Mechanical / electro-mechanical components) required for a customized testing. Ability to assemble mechanical components for a custom test equipment Ability to develop mechanical Test setups as per requirement. Ability to work on IDTE 3000, FTS 6000, Instron, Radial Force Tester.
