Sabre is looking for a Supervisor of Software Engineering to support the Host Services group in Bangalore, India taking direction from their direct manager. The Supervisor will have a significant role in how to achieve the objectives established by their manager.

You will support your team in modifying applications, troubleshooting issues, enhancing, and creating new applications. The candidate fulfilling this supervisor role will have an impact on every stage of development, ensuring we deliver the right products to our customers and innovative solutions to our broader development community. The responsibilities of this position will involve different systems and operating system environments where the Sabre passenger reservation system is the nucleus. Our applications interact with some of Sabre’s core systems in a complex enterprise environment. The passenger reservation system consists of several different platforms that communicate and share data to meet the business needs of the company and most importantly, Sabre’s customers. Job Requirements
Supervise a team of dedicated engineers includes setting goals and developing team members.
Define solutions and tasks required for Mainframe Offload initiative.
Deliver solutions and provide necessary technical support for the TPF system.
A record of successful delivery of software solutions as an individual contributor, team leader, and/or managerial role.
Strong understanding of the software development cycle.
Strong supervisory, project management skills, time management skills, and problem-solving skills.
Communicate well – Provide clear, concise, and accurate reports for senior leadership.
Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules.
Advanced computer software skills: ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously; ability to delegate work to subordinate employees; proven leadership ability.
Provide leadership and guidance to mentor, coach, inspire, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development.
Experience
Minimum 8 years related experience; minimum 5 years prior supervisory experience preferred. Advanced computer software skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously; ability to delegate work to subordinate employees; proven leadership ability.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
