Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs. Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience. As a member of Oracle’s Financial Services Product Development organization, you’ll work in a multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver leading edge SaaS solutions for the global marketplace. The Microservices Frameworks team within the Enterprise Risk and Finance team builds re-useable frameworks and components that underpin complex financial calculations reimagined for distributed computing at massive scale.In this team you will build next generation serverless frameworks used by hundreds of other developers to build SaaS products. You will solve some of the most challenging engineering problems like ensuring guarantees and working with delayand latency across billions of transactions. You are required to have: Experience in building software infrastructure and frameworks Experience using formal methods is highly regarded Expertise in modern programminglanguagessuchas Java Strong problem-solving skills At least3years of experience with commercial software development in a product company Candidates with less experience or those without commercial development experience in a product company can be considered provided they have experience in highly complex software engineering for example scientific computing or massively parallel computing in low latency environments Experience developing large scale distributed and highly scalable commercial products is a plus Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker is a plus Experience developing micro services frameworks and micro services design patterns is a plus You are expected to: Contribute to the development of our architecture components and development framework Improve developer infrastructure & tools Interface with other teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa Conduct design and code reviews analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources Architect efficient and reusable back-end as well as front-end systems depending on the problem you are solving for Stay hands-on and keep your thirst for writing code quenched every day You will bring technical solutions to the leadership team and provide feedback on solutions recommended by others. You have the ability to share technical solutions and product ideas with the broader team through design review, code review, proof-of-concepts and show and tell You will participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms and products You will implement new features in a highly collaborative environment with product managers, UI/UX experts, and software and hardware engineers.
