The teams at the center works in close coordination with other global R&D centers at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia and Denmark. Located at the center of Bangalore IT HUB,IDC is housed at state of art world class facility.’ Leica Biosystems Core Histology division, develops pathology lab instruments that are part of a complex cancer diagnostic workflow. The workflow starts with biopsy, then tissues are fed into tissue processing instruments in the diagnostic workflow. The tissue processors prepare the tissues for further processing by subjecting the tissues to one or more tissue processing protocols based on tissue types and other parameters. Later the tissues are stained so that cancerous cells can be clearly differentiated from the normal ones through pathology imaging devices. It’s very important, after the diagnostic stage in the workflow, to protect the tissues for several years based on the regulatory requirements Cover-slippers, yet another instrument, from Core Histology covers the tissue slides with the glass covers automatically and precisely. With such complex use, there is need to for highly reliable, quality software. Responsibilities: Analysis and Review of Functional and Non-Functional Requirements. Author and Review of Test cases and Test Procedures. Execution of test cases /procedures and sign-off result. Perform sprint testing in Medical device development. Responsible for developing test cases against the requirementsacceptance criteria using available test design techniques. Effectively document identified defects and cooperate with developers to resolve any product issues and track it to closure. Responsible in identifying the regression test scenarios based on the impact assessment. Follow the test process and continuously improve the quality of the test process Support creation of optimal agile software development processes and selection of tools Support agile planning and progress control and securing transparency Follow regulatory requirements for software development and testing in medical engineering (e.g. FDA 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304) Working together with a global verification development team Essential Skills/ Characteristics Graduate or post-graduate qualifications in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering background. Alternatively, equivalent experience in related field. 2-4 years of relevant work experience in Software Testing including the application of test processes through software development life cycles. Experience in Manual Software testing. Prior experience in Integration, Regression and System testing. Prior experience in tools like HP ALM, SPIRA or any other similar tools. Experience in FDA compliant test documentation. Experience in Agile development processes and methodologies. Possess sound knowledge of test methodologies. Software Testing under Linux/Qt environment would be preferred. Basic Experience with the version control system Git Experience in working with MS-Office Good English knowledge (oral / written) Team player, flexibility Desired Skills/ Characteristics Experience of Agile/Lean software testing would be preferred. Working experience in Medical Device. Familiar with the practice of continuous integration CI/CD. Experience in test automation.
