Role/Job Title:Site Reliability Engineering Lead Business:Information Technology Function/ Department:Information Technology Place of work:’Bangalore/Mumbai Job Purpose: The role bearer has the responsibility to coordinate, control and manage the quality and efforts of the development team to ensure it aligns with the business operations team.The role holder is exepcted to encourage, teach and enforce strict adherence to key development processes that directly impact the efficiency, stability and scalability of the system. Roles & Responsibilities: ‘The role holder will be expected to – – Be responsible for understanding and implementing solutions to meet desired business outcomes and standards sustainably – Participate in design, build, and on-call support of various cloud, container, and on-premises platforms through standalone and integration operations – Be responsible for ensuring that operational and service level agreements are operationally met through SLI and SLO monitoring, analysis, and incident responses – Be able to communicate effectively and work closely together with business clients, other technology teams, support partners and stakeholders to deliver and support business aligned solutions. – You will mentor other SREs on standard methodology for everything from monitoring to troubleshooting complex code and distributed systems issues – Monitor, administer, and operate multiple clusters across data centers and in public cloud, primarily in Python, Scala and Java. – Actively participate and contribute to code reviews and technical design documents, with an eye toward identifying performance and reliability bottlenecks. Secondary Responsibilities – List the deliverables other than primary, but essential for the role: ‘-Recommend improvements to processes and policies across the Banking business to drive operational efficiencies and high quality customer service -Leverage in-house synergies through collaboration with internal stakeholders. Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities: ‘- Monitor key parameters on productivity, hiring quality and attrition rates and make necessary improvements – Champion IDFC First’s customer first culture by driving the team to take up high degree servicing norms to ensure absolute customer delight – Attract and retain best-in-class talent for key roles in their reporting structure. Key Success Metrics: ‘- Time to market – Failure recovery time – Reduced lead time to change – Lowering change failure rates
