Plan and execute experiments and analyze the data within time lines to develop scientific solutions towards R&D projects
Job Context:
As a corporate R&D center, ABSTC provides Research & technology support to ABG businesses. This position is responsible for providing Leadership to Group Business by a) creating high class competencies & infrastructure that is aligned with the business need of ABG companies, b) generate revenue by developing research portfolio and delivering effective technology solutions to customers, c) Develop technology programs for development of new/futuristic technologies through innovative platforms in collaborations with external institutes
Major Challenges:
Resource (material, machine) availability, collaboration / coordination, business dynamics and technical / administrative clarity to troubleshoot things customers, which limits increasing research funding from customers.
Execute and deliver Projects as per given schedule
- Support fundamental / design / operational know-how generation efforts
- Support the process / method / product development
- Collaboration with internal as well as external support function teams
- Execute, record and analyze data / findings in timely manner to generate scientific insights
- Support to plant mapping, trials, implementation
- Assisting project report writing / presentations
Identify opportunities for innovation and generate patents, publications to provide world class research solutions
- Propose new ideas and complete POC experiments, invites ideas, inputs and suggestions from others and constantly makes changes whenever required
- Referring to scientific literature. Seek inputs from those who are directly involved for bringing in new approaches, tools, methods and technologies. Will accept other’s solutions & is open-minded when presented with a new perspective.
- Publications in journals, publishing patents, journal articles, conference proceedings.

- Coordination with safety committee
- Timely maintenance of equipment’s
- SOP / HAZOP document preparation
Work on Self-Development & Capability Building
to improve soft and technical skills for enhanced technical performance and customer satisfaction
- Complete online / offline trainings/workshops/seminars
- Identify developmental goals – Technical & soft skills
- Development of new expertise in new area, process, equipment, analysis tool, etc.
- Knowledge dissemination to fellow team members
