Job Description : Job summary The WHS Program Insights and Innovations (Pi3) WW Industrial hygiene team is responsible for strategy development and execution related to managing our Health & Safety risks. Candidate should be able to Think Big and Innovate across the globe collaborating with Amazon businesses, geographical regions and technical subject matter experts (SMEs). We are looking for a talented individual contributor who has significant experience with industrial hygiene in multi-site and multiple countries. This role requires hands-on work completing risk assessments for noise and chemical exposures, developing feasible solutions to reduce risk, researching Industrial hygiene hazards, assessment techniques, and controls from latest scientific published research, deep diving into injuries to ensure root-cause has been appropriately identified, data analytics and document technical writing. The successful candidate must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing. This will be a corporate role develop and support across the globe to enable our field EHS teams. The role requires to manage the programs as an individual contributor, coordinate with stakeholders and customers, perform deep dive analysis on all the industrial hygiene program metrics and propose ideas as part of continuous improvement process. Drive the Chemical and Physical hazards (Thermal stress management, Noise management) to improve the data accuracy, Analyze the customer users’ feedback & develop action plan to improve the tool usage, Review and update program SOP and suggest SOP changes based on the Program Leaders inputs. Key job responsibilities . Develop, execute and drive task to completion per Industrial Hygiene (IH) team’s project plan. This includes Scope definition, Drafting, Stakeholder Reviews, Approvals, Deployment, Gap Assessment, Training/network calls, Procedure Development, Implementation, Change management and SIM management. . Understand, defends and communicates the objectives and the scope of a project, as well as, the role and function of each team member and stakeholders in order to lead the team efficiently to deliver and maintain high quality outputs (via strong process controls and verification steps). . Identifies gaps in controls and processes and escalates to manager. . Consult Legal for guidance on Health & Safety program issues, specific use cases or escalations based on manager direction. . Anticipate, evaluate, controls industrial hygiene hazards in existing and new equipment, tasks, and processes global operations. . Develop and implement Worldwide (WW) standards and procedures for biological, Physical, Chemical stressors and other IH hazards. . Performs deep dive analysis/research on data/information/literature and creates recommendations/corrective actions based on identified deviations and recommends appropriate solutions. . Maintains subject matter expertise in industrial hygiene hazards (e.g. noise, chemical exposures, and thermal stress) and industrial hygiene programs (e.g. GHS, ventilation, PPE) and general industry awareness. . Earns trust of peers by understanding operational processes related to risk management programs. . Makes recommendations to managers for input into strategic discussions and continuous improvement projects to health risk controls. . Considers customer experience in the execution or handling of specific escalations cases and projects. . Research and recommend innovative solutions, which can be implemented at Amazon scale, to manager utilizing new technology and Amazon infrastructure. Basic Qualifications : . Bachelor and/or Master degree in the field of Work place Health and Safety . 8+ Years of experience in Safety, Health, including experience in developing and implementing programs . Knowledge of NIOSH, AIHA, ACGIH and other related standards. . Experience with developing multi-site and multi-country programs . Strong project management skills. . Eager to be curious and has a passion to research topics and ideas, including reviewing scientific literature. . Excellent computer skills for use of digital tools for project management and document control (Visio, MS Excel, Sharepoint). . Strong verbal and written communication skills. . Strong technical aptitude (i.e. able to read and comprehend technical documentation, ability to comprehend and execute procedures, demonstrated understanding of system documentation). . Strong influencing skills and negotiation skills. . Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. . Strong judgement and instinct and is Right a Lot. . Able to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as the role will be interfacing with Customers and Stakeholders. . Analytical skills and problem-solving ability. Experience in Safety management tools/software’s. Preferred Qualifications : Preferred qualifications . Master’s degree in the field of Work place Health and Safety with 8+ years of experience . Significant work experience within a global company . Worked in H&S program management role . Change agent with energy, passion and skill to drive change. . Demonstrated ability to effectively balance/prioritize issues. . Strong relationship building/networking/interpersonal skills. . Excellent oral and written communication skills. . Experience is fast paced, dynamic organization . Certified industrial hygienist (CIH) and/or International Certificate in Occupational Hygiene (ICertOH) from British occupational health society (BOHS) . Ability to influence the Senior business leaders and stakeholder’s decision through relevant data and Logical reasoning
