Job description: In these roles, you will be responsible for:
- Coding and abstracting information from provider patient medical records and hospital ancillary records per facility and/or state requirements.
- Assigning appropriate billing codes based on medical documentation using CPT-4 and/or ICD-10 coding guidelines.
- Raising physicians queries for documentation insufficiency or ambiguous or unclear for coding purposes.
- Monitoring unbilled accounts report for outstanding and/or un-coded encounters to reduce accounts receivable days.
- Following strict coding guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Attending meetings and in-service training to enhance coding knowledge, compliance skills, and maintenance of credentials.
Required Skills for this role include:
- Certified Trainer with minimum of 5-6 years of Experience in Medical Coding field
- Should have experience in training ICD and CPT and should we well aware of the latest updates
- Preferred Specialty – Multi-specialty with hands on experience in E/M with basic E/M procedures and pain management, Surgery and IVR.
- Proficient in English is must.
- Flexible to take up New specialty learnings when and where required and train the resources
- Expert in creating content and track the changes
- Excel and PPT knowledge is must
- Must be responsible in doing all levels of training including Client specifics, Industry Updates and General coding Training by coordinating with the Supervisors/ Training Manager
- Must be flexible to do audits of charts processed by the new hires, any new specialty work done by the team and regular audits as and when required.
- Good to have – Evaluate employee performance to gauge where skills are lacking
- Good to have – Develop onboarding programs for new employees.
- Good to have – Research new updates and teaching methods.
- Good to have -Create training programs to address skill gaps in employees
