Job description:

• Reviews outpatient department medical records and assigned accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for diagnoses and procedures.

• Assigns and sequence codes accurately based on medical record documentation.

• Follows all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) rules and regulations.

• Thorough understanding and application of medical necessity and denials for processing the charts.

• Involves in ensuring data integrity including appropriate sequencing and dispositions, resolving all coding edits prior to finalizing the charts, compliant with United States Local and Federal Regulations.

• Continuing education for ICD10 with Elsevier modules, staying current with coding clinics, and revised codes.

• Keeps current with all coding updates/changes through Coding Clinics and literature.

• Querying physicians regarding incomplete documentation.

Requirements

· Minimum 12 months experience in EM – OP coding

· Certification is Mandatory.

· Willingness to work in WFO.

· Preferably immediate joiners.

· Location – Chennai
