Lab Support Engineering is at the heart of a worldwide lab operations team providing lab access, service and solutions support in multiple locations and work onsite. Lab’s are highly important to our internal customers which means they re highly important to us. Independent and flexible, team members are always ready to adapt to the changing daily priorities. Supporting handling system hardware, peripherals and software within Research and Development Labs, we identify, isolate and resolve problems, implement immediate resolutions when necessary and manage systems consoles from an operational and troubleshooting perspective. They make an impact in all kinds of ways from installing and maintaining servers , storage equipment and network and software/application within the fast-paced lab computing environment, through to providing top-level technical expertise and support to engineering departmental users. What s more, they work with engineering teams to create hardware configuration test plans in support of software development.

What you ll achieve
As a Lab Support Technician, you will be responsible for the physical or administrative tasks involved in the inbound and outbound of Hardware s in the Lab s, tickets fulfilment, storing and distribution of materials and parts.

You will:

  • Take control of all inbound and outbound Hardware s and peripherals to and from labs
  • Handle parts with or without material handling equipment, hardware mounting onto racks in lab , requiring safety and delicate handling procedures
  • Ensure all materials transactions are completed accurately in systems, utilizing inventory control software/tools
  • Communicate effectively with counterparts/team members to identify problems or concerns with inventory
  • Conduct physical counts of reported inventory inaccuracies

Essential Requirements

  • Knowledge of inventory management
  • Hardware s mounting (Server, Storage, etc.) on to Racks
  • Understanding any inventory control software tools and be able to apply those tools
  • Basic customer service and communication skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Qualification : S.S.L.C / P.U.C / Diploma with 5+ years of experience
  • Experience in a handling materials in Data Center / Lab environment
