Job Description : Lab Support Engineer Lab Support Engineering is at the heart of a worldwide lab operations team providing 24×7 lab access, service and solutions support in multiple locations. Independent and flexible, team members are always ready to adapt to the changing daily priorities. What you’ll achieve As Lab Support Engineer, will provide support for all customers as it relates to Lab Infrastructure network , virtualization , hardware and software . You will use your technical knowledge and specialized skills to support, build, implement, and improve technology solutions. Adhere to administrative policies and escalation procedures. You will be actively expanding your scope of knowledge by learning about new technologies, procedures and help to resolve complex customer issues. You must possess good written and oral communications skills and the ability to deal effectively with people in a wide variety of situations. Demonstrates a high degree of self-initiative. Must be able to adapt to the changing daily priorities in a fast paced engineering lab environment. Performs other duties as required. You will: Install and configure networking and computing infrastructure or test setups and deploys new switches, servers, equipment and software as required. Be responsible for assisting in the design and layout of the computing infrastructure. Be responsible for deployment of new servers and storage arrays. Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting the technical environment for problems. Identify system performance issues and help develop tools for better system management. Ensure that all services are consistently available to all end users. Provide technical assistance and consulting to the users if necessary. Maintain accurate hardware inventory records. Here’s what we are looking for with this role: Essential Requirements Knowledge on Dell Networking & Dell Server platform and experience of working in Development Lab environment Knowledge in computer networking : Products and protocols (Cisco / Dell EMC networking technologies , routing protocols , Switching) Knowledge in virtualization : Products and solutions (VMware technologies, Microsoft Hyper-V , etc.) Knowledge in system monitoring using tools and deployment of software, Patches, Antivirus systems etc. Good troubleshooting skills and problem-solving skills Good communication and customer service skills Desirable Requirements Qualification : Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent years of experience Experience in Networking and or any Server platforms : Install/Configuration/troubleshooting Here’s our story now tell us yours Dell Technologies helps organizations and individuals build a brighter digital tomorrow.
