What you’ll achieve
The Network Security Engineer serves as operational engineer for the technologies that the Network Security area of Research and Development environment support. Ensures that all system components are maintained, updated, monitored, accessible, and available according to Cybersecurity standards; while partnering with other engineer in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of diverse solutions.

You will:

  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of technologies and services related to Firewalls and associated features and engage teams to manage and complete assigned tasks related to deployment and implementation as well as process automation.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support and response of all platforms to ensure up-time and availability.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support and response to key partners and customers to address reported issues related to suspicious or potentially malicious activity.
  • Secure the products in accordance with Dell guidelines and industry best practices for system build configuration.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and provide on call support. Serve as subject matter expert for supported technologies.

Essential Requirements

  • A 2-year degree in Information Technology, Information Security or related major; or 3 years of direct experience in the field of cybersecurity.
  • Strong understanding of IT and Cybersecurity technologies.
  • Understanding Firewalls, IPS/IDS, Client VPN ( Palo Alto, SonciWALL).
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SSL
  • Experience with security processes, documentation, distributed Denial of Service and Web Application Firewall products.

Desirable Requirements

  • Industry certifications relevant to the role such as: CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, ACE etc.
  • Experience with logging technologies and Splunk or ELK.
