POSITION SUMMARY: Perform several manufacturing functions within the manufacturing operation team. Work on complex assignments requiring independent judgment and high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Identify and make recommendations for new procedures and improving equipment. Act as facilitator and highly skilled team leader for the department. Provide leadership and support in ensuring quality, lowering cost and improving productivity in production. This position will report to Manufacturing Manager ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand and adhere to safety policies and practices Follow documentation procedure (filling out data in Test results sheet), reading and understanding instructions), Planned Deviation Report (PDR) or Non-Conformance Report (NCR). Prepare and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and in process testing workflow. Maintain In process lab equipment, instruments, SOP, and housekeeping according to standard operating procedures. Manufacture reagents required for in process testing as well as for regular manufacturing Ensure calibration, validation of lab equipment’s Ensure testing of in process material within time duration Implement Min max for reagent consumption and consumable Items Monitor the breakdown/Downtime of equipment and generate workorder Perform in-process testing on different equipment, review results and communicate to cross functional team. Recognize any minor issues from the equipment and any affiliated documentations and take appropriate corrective action within scope. Notify Supervisors and Leads of issues and discrepancies immediately. Report causes of process and/or documentation and assist or coordinate resolutions. Apply company policies and procedures to complete assignments. Review test results Lead assigned shift Assure GLPs, housekeeping, safety and environmental guidelines are being followed correctly and consistently. TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED) Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience (in years): 3 to 5 years of related experience in testing of IVD reagent or medical devices MSc/B Tech/BE in Biotechnology / Biomedical/Life science Experience in Compliance audits ex ISO13485, CDSCO, GMP Knowledge and skills: Experience in performing Testing of IVD/Medical devices Understands Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP) Must be a team player and able to demonstrate willingness and ability to provide assistance to co-workers. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with peers, Managers, and Failure Investigation Able to understand instructions and batch records written and spoken in English. Effective verbal and written communication skills Basic Computer Skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint Able to identify each station of the machinery. Good to have the knowledge of lean manufacturing tools. Some or all like Visual Management and Daily Management, Standard work, Problem Solving Process. Physical requirements/abilities: Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must be able to stand for several hours in Production area. Ability to work directly with, handle or come into contact with chemicals or reagents. Ability to work in Shift 24 7 operation. Must be able to work in extreme low humidity conditions 10% The role and responsibilities for this position is not limited up to mentioned above it may change as and when required.
