(HW and SW knowledge and debugging) Good exposure in different levels of testing (Unit, Integration, System, etc.,). Good experience in Black box and White box testing. Expertise in Analyzing, designing, Creating and executing test cases. Experience in writing test specifications, test plan etc., Good Knowledge in scripting language (windows batch script, Power shell, Perl) Good Written and Verbal communication Good exposure to all phases of Software development life cycle. Nice to have: Good Programming skill in Java Good knowledge in test automation tools like Jenkins, etc., Good knowledge in ISO 14443, ISO 7816 protocols, MIFARE Experience in Agile product development Develop tools like test report generation, etc., Experience in version control system like SVN. Job Responsibility : Design, Develop and maintain test cases and test framework. Develop and execute the test automation scripts. Test environment and Test bench bring up. Prepare Test Specification, Test Plan and Estimation Analyzing Test results, Performance measurement and Code coverage. Generic Job Description (not Job Level specific): The SW Test / Validation Engineer / Architect debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software. Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing. Non-engineer roles that are primarily performing audits and tests of software products in accordance with established test plans and procedures and are not involved in the development of test plans should be matched to Software Quality Assurance.
