Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. The roles in this function will cover all primary development activity across all technology functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps.

These roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery. With every role in the company, each position has a requirement for building quality into every output. This also includes evaluating new tools, new techniques, strategies; Automation of common tasks; build of common utilities to drive organizational efficiency with a passion around technology and solutions and influence of thought and leadership on future capabilities and opportunities to apply technology in new and innovative ways.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance and direction through multiple layers of management and senior level professional staff
• Work most often impacts a large business unit, or multiple markets/sites
• Lead a global team (across India & US) for Enterprise Clinical Technology, providing software engineering solutions, emerging technology POCs, Architectural blueprints
• Partner with technology leaders and provide solutions, easing application developer development and release cycle times
• Drive a technology delivery transformation with both internal & external resources
• Manage to an operating plan with a focus on investment optimization and continuous improvement of total cost of ownership across all technology services
• Work with a cross-functional set of business, technology, and external research to identify enterprise level strategic solutions to complex business challenges and opportunities
• Strategy Map development – Current State, Future state and a map with paths from current to future across multiple product horizons
• Research, identify and align potential existing or in development projects that demonstrate a shared focus on the business opportunity or challenge resolution
• Positioning value with business stakeholders – differentiating features and capabilities that provide demonstrable benefit
• Network development based on defined points of collaboration, based on fundamental understanding of business models and those associated key stakeholders
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Eligibility

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 18+ years of overall experience
• Hands-on experience with building cloud native applications, microservices architecture at scale
• Experience working with US stakeholders, and working in matrix organizations
• Experience working with diverse technologies: Java, Public Cloud (Azure), Cloud (Docker, Microservices/SpringBoot), RDBMS (MySQL) + nosql (Cassandra, MongoDB, Elastic), APIs (REST, Graph QL), API gateways (Kong etc.), Data Streaming (Kafka), Visualization (Grafana, Kibana), ELK stack (Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana); API Gateway
• Strong technical leadership with experience building software engineering teams
• Background in building platforms, products in large, complex & distributed enterprise environments
• Ability to develop business capability architectures, tradeoffs and sensitivity points
