Review and validate chemical data packages in accordance with EPA guidance to ensure compliance with published analytical methods and usability of environmental data Upload laboratory analytical data to a specific client and regulatory databases Manage data in relational database systems like Earthsoft EQuIS or Microsoft Access Manipulate electronic data deliverables to create report-ready tables and visualizations Develop new data management workflows and automated tools Perform statistical analysis of chemical data Prepare technical memoranda and white papers to be included in client deliverables Fully qualified scientist. Utilizes scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Requires general familiarity within a broad field of scientific knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other disciplines/fields. Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance. Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Solves problems by use of combinations of standard procedures, modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments. Participates in planning required to achieve prescribed objectives. Conducts analysis and investigation work obtained from a variety of sources. Performs inspections and tests to ensure compliance. Participates in developing corrective measures and procedures. Formulates hypothesis, performs research and makes recommendation. Minimum Requirements 10 years of relevant experience and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education Knowledge of environmental chemistry principles (i.e. environmental fate and transport) Knowledge of analytical chemistry principles (i.e. quality assurance and quality control) Experience using relational databases such as EQuIS or Microsoft Access Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Relevant technical writing experience Ability to organize data in an efficient and clear manner Strong attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or another related discipline Experience using statistical software packages and/or programming languages such as R and python Experience performing chemical analysis in an academic or commercial setting What We Offer We will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
