Role Description
Roles and Responsibilities
– Responsible for new cables development, design, both of input and maintenance for SAP system, and pilot run including planning, follow-up, design review, validation, trial production summary and statistics for R&D projects.
– Approve design cards, TDS, printing wheel specification cards, new raw material procurement specifications, new cable packing specifications and various technical documents and drawings.
– Participate in drafting and reviewing important technical documents, quality standards and related procedure documents.
– Participate in the trial making of major new products, and be responsible for coordination of the compilation for design control cases of major new products.
– Classify the R&D schemes for various products of the projects, establish details, follow-up regularly according to the planned schedule.
– Liaise and coordinate with cross-functional teams to solve various problems arised in new product development to ensure timely completion of new product development.
– Actively cooperate with both of sampling team and manufacturing team to help solve the problems on the new product quality and technology in the new products development and pilot run.
– Participate in the evaluation and accreditation of new suppliers, new materials and new equipment involved in new product development.
– Organize training in new product technology, process and professional knowledge for associates of R&D team and other teams as required.
– Complete all other duties assigned in time.
Professional Skill
– Good communication skill, both written and oral in English and Chinese, is essential.
– Strong ability in organization, planning, control, communication, coordination, leadership and execution.
– Have strong logical thinking ability, comprehensive analysis ability and keen observation ability.
– Strong adaptability, learning ability, calculating ability and practical ability.
– Expert in Microsoft PC tools like PPT, word, excel, access, etc.
– Familiar with cable standards, understand the development trend of cable industry technology, have the spirit of technological innovation and the ability to dabble in high-tech.
– Have good competencies in managing through systems, problem solving, drive for results, developing direct reports and others, creativity and innovation management
Educational Qualification
– Bachelor degree or above in cable design and manufacture or electrical insulation and high voltage or polymer material or engineering.
– A minimum of 7 years engineering management experience, wire and cable technology knowledge is required.
