Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.JR1083 Business Title GLOBAL ENGINEERING LAB (GEL) EQUIPMENTJob Description As a Global Engineering Lab (GEL) Equipment Coordinator and Capital Planner at Micron, you will use your lab and equipment experience to comprehend the engineering lab footprint to direct capital and lab space management globally. As a single point of contact, your role will require that you collaborate with other Site Leaders and GEL team members while ensuring valid capital expenditures for supporting lab activities and reducing capital spending through innovative solutions that look at re-purposing and tool utilization. Responsibilities and Tasks include, but not limited to Provide direction and insight to the global asset and space management process. Coordinate and consolidate Engineering needs across the company to drive lab efficiencies through a centralized management process. Work with partners and vendors to understand their equipment and space needs. Vet user group requests while contemplating existing world-wide assets with respect to capabilities and product specs. Work with GEL members and partners to uncover other solutions that could offset new capital spending. Drive an end-to-end approach to equipment purchases and space allocation – including the vetting of requests during the budgeting cycle, collaborating with Procurement to make sure PO’s are issued accurately and in a timely manner, ensure the required facilities projects are generated and efficiency metrics are in place. Drive the budget direction from the executive team and provide options to our GEL partners and the user base. Communicate equipment status, budget results, space allocation and lab capabilities to management. Establish and implement best known methods for the entry and execution of capital budget entries Collaborate with capital owners, Purchasing, Facilities and GEL to define the capital budget and space requirement needs. Function as the GEL point of contact for Capital planning for the engineering labs in Taiwan and other global GEL sites. Review capital entries and follow up with our partners. Education Required – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical) .Business/Finance Experience Required – 3 years of experience working with testing equipment in a lab setting About Micron Technology, Inc.
