Join us in powering the progress of global aerospace. Boeing Technical Publication team is currently looking for Associate Level Engineering Data Author to join their team in Chennai, India . These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Service (BGS) business organization. Technical Publication produces a suite of documents that provide instructions and data for keeping the airplane safe and airworthy with efficient procedures and operations. We produce these documents by analyzing engineering data to develop and validate the best way to maintain Boeing airplanes. A successful candidate will understand the importance of analyzing the Engineering Documents and collaboration within the team as these positions will focus on working with the team and support to create, update and review the existing master data base for Boeing ecommerce website. Position Responsibilities: . Perform routine data analysis duties by referring different types of source data Engineering Drawings, Service Bulletins, Technical manuals , Data Sheet, Manufacturers and supplier’s portals . Design, develop and re purpose product content to fit the digital communication channels, and the communication strategy . Content strategy for the promotion of Boeing e-commerce platform and new product launch . Compares product to incoming source data for the purpose of verifying technical accuracy . Performs cross-referencing tasks and verifies information for Parts Content Enrichment/ Product content development . Performs analysis of BOM (Bill of materials) and Engineering drawings to create parent child relationship, when applicable . Update the Master data base for configuration changes and document management . Capture the image to be posted in the ecommerce portal in a specified format . Develop technical solutions of limited scope and complexity for customers that optimize their operations and resolve emergent needs . Assists with answering to technical queries, researching the problem, and composing an answer . Understanding of basic formatting and cataloging of Assemblies, sub-assemblies and components . Overall database management to present the data into Boeing ecommerce portal . Communicates ISO processes to company, customer, ISO auditors and representatives . Ensure the quality product out to the end user by performing Quality check for the team’s work . Focus on continuous improvement . Other duties as assigned by Manager Basic Qualifications(Required Skills/Experience): . 5 – 10 years of experience in technical data authoring / Asset information Management . 5+ year of experience in eCommerce/ data analytics/ Content management activitiesi.e. creative talent / product content creation for marketing and corporate communication . Possess an understanding of engineering job practices, techniques and standards . Strong PC skills with high proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office products functionality . Ability to define and document processes as required . Ability to identify potential issues, analyze and recommend improvements and alternate solutions . Good verbal and written communication skills . Proven reasoning, analytical abilities and mechanical aptitude Preferred Qualifications(Desired Skills/Experience): . Bachelor’s degree (any Engineering specialization) or higher Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor or equivalent) with relevant experience of 5+ years.
