The Patient Centered Solutions (PCS) team leads the industry in generating data to ensure that the patient voice is incorporated into the development and commercialization of medication and other drug/non-drug interventions. We focus on understanding and meeting the needs of our clients – mostly life science/pharmaceutical companies – through the application of broad consulting expertise and technical scientific knowledge to design scientifically rigorous research. This research is broad and includes qualitative (e.g. interviews, focus groups), quantitative (e.g. clinical outcome assessments (COAs)/patient-reported outcomes (PROS), preference research) and passive (e.g. digital health technology tools) approaches to understand patient, caregiver and healthcare professional experiences and expectations of disease and treatment. IQVIA has developed an innovative technology platform that supports COA scientists in COA strategy decision making and maximizes the value of patient research investments. COA Accelerator intelligently curate’s data on what is important to measure in a patient population (Concepts), how to effectively measure these concepts (Instruments) and precedence in communicating their outcomes (Endpoints). We are looking for an experience business analyst to lead the technical development of our new proprietary platform. Role & Responsibilities The COA Accelerator Technical Development Lead will be responsible for the translation of the platform development requirements to the technical development plan. This will involve developing a good understanding of the platforms strategic and scientific usage and having a good understand of technology infrastructure, being the interface between product and technical team members. The role will report into the business lead for the platform and will have management responsibility of the COA Accelerator data lead and data monitor roles. The role includes the following responsibilities: As a COAA Technical Development Lead within the PCS team at IQVIA, responsibilities include: Proficient in evaluating, identifying and developing software solutions Creating high-level product specifications and design documents Provide technical guidance and coaching to team Plan and coordinates peer review of work products such as code, designs, and test Plans produced by team Understand and comply with core operating procedures and working instructions and mentor team as required Good knowledge of source code configuration management software involving check-in/check-out process Apply programming tools, procedures, functions and routines towards delivering the assigned task or activity. Work with team to create accurate effort estimates, plan deliverables, determine risk assessment and estimate resource needs in Agile scrum delivery model Develop and maintain good communications and working relationships with local and remote software development team Participate in discussions (involving onsite/offshore teams) of requirement analysis/clarifications, architecture, design and development Participate in reviews and implementation of SDLC methodologies to ensure high quality software within the schedules and also in testing backups ensuring maximum up-time and maximum performance of database. Work closely with other teams, such as QA, systems analysts, deployment/IT and onsite/client professionals for knowledge transfer or requirement clarifications etc. with the required help Problem-solving and thinking laterally as part of a team, or individually, to meet the needs of the project Delivery Quality deliverables as agreed upon within the schedule Flexible enough to adjust to the change in work / technology / Team / etc Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support implementation and post go-live issue resolution Assess change-proposals and define solutions to help the project team achieve its goals Discover, organize, and clarify business needs and review/produce specifications for change About You Candidates interested in joining our Patient Centered Solutions team as a [Role/Title] should have: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 12+ years of experience in software development Experience in designing and developing Web Applications, Java, Hibernate, Spring framework, Oracle/PostgreSQL jQuery, CSS and JavaScript 5+ years of hands-on experience in Angular, React, CSS3, Typescript, JavaScript, Jest, mocha At least 5+ yrs of experience into technical lead role 5+ years of hands-on experience in server side technologies such as .Net or Java 3+ years of hands-on experience in RDBMS or NoSQL databases Thorough understanding in using Monitoring tools / CI-CD systems (e.g. Maven, Jenkins, Bamboo, App dynamics) Good knowledge of source code configuration management software like GIT Good understanding on Docker container and images Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven technical writing abilities Team-oriented thinking with demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team Proven ability to collaborate with and drive cross-functional and interdepartmental teams Experience in leading agile teams and delivering mission critical projects MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field Knowledge of engineering practices related to development and testing functions Experience in life science industry Fluent in English (spoken and written) IQVIA is a leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions and clinical research services to the life sciences industry.
