How To Make Money Off YouTube

Interested in how to make money off YouTube? I’ve got some great news for you. It’s easy and you can get started right now.

Each day there are thousands of new videos being uploaded to YouTube. Many of them are just from ordinary people. Some of these videos just go viral and get thousands of views in just days, some even get millions within an insanely short period of time.

I’m sure you know the videos I’m talking about. Cute babies, someone falling in public and embarrassing themselves, a celebrity seen in public. The list goes on.

Most of these videos are not professional productions. They’ve been made with a normal handycam or mobile phone video camera.

And they don’t even last long. Many of these videos that have tens of millions of views are no longer than ten seconds in length.

So, the question still remains, how do you make money off YouTube? Here’s how.

YouTube allows you to upload your movies for free and they also allow you to have add a ‘description’ to your video. Within this description field you can type whatever you like… including a link to a website.

If you already have a website to promote, you can upload a video to YouTube and put the URL of your website in the description field. Then, whenever visitors watch your video, they will see the description and click on it to go to your website.

Another way you can drive traffic to your website is to have a brief, 10 second clip at the end of the video telling viewers directly to go to your website. Simply write the words, “Check out this website – YourDomain.com.”

Some of you may be now wondering, “What if I don’t have a website? Can I still make money off YouTube?”

The answer is a definite YES! Here’s how…

You can make money promoting ClickBank products. ClickBank is an affiliate network that anyone can join and make money promoting other people’s products.

Find a good ClickBank product to promote (I recommend sticking to products that have a gravity of 50 or more) and shorten your affiliate link with a free URL shortener.

Add your shortened link to the video’s description field and that’s it!

Now let’s do some maths. Creating a short video and uploading it to YouTube should take you no longer than 20 minutes. If you were to spend a whole day doing it you should be able to get 20 uploaded.

Let’s say those 20 videos got 20,000 views per month and let’s be conservative and say that only 2% of your viewers went to your website. That would be 400 free, targeted visitors to your site every single month on total autopilot!

That may not sound impressive, but if you consider that this traffic is going to continue for years to come and that you can do this over and over again for even more traffic, it is very powerful.
