The KNA Senior Software Engineer I (BDS) is responsible for software development as a member of a cross-functional delivery team. He or she works closely with product owners, business analysts, quality analysts, and others to design, develop, and test software solutions.
She or he will work on a team managing multiple applications for internal users in addition to web services for both internal and external systems. This is a full-stack web development position with work that is highly independent.
Experience & Qualification
8+ Years experience in software development engineering, with sound architecture knowledge & technical foundation, passion for design, coding with object-oriented languages and familiar with design patterns, web server / service development
Strong hands-on experience on C# (or similar language), .NET, ASP.NET, Web Services, MVC core, ADO.NET, HTML/XML, Bootstrap Framework, JavaScript, Node.js, SQL Server (or similar relational database management system)
Looked up as expert in developing, enhancing & troubleshooting highly available/scalable web application based on .net framework and following SDLC best practices, Including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing and operations
3+ years experience developing REST based web services / microservices with ESB tools to integrate upstream ad down stream business application
Familiar working with VSCode, GIT, CI/CD tools, DevSecOps environments, Agile practices/Behaviour-driven development
Experience with GraphQL, Docker containers, Cloud technologies (e.g. serverless architecture / AWS Lambda) is nice to have.
Excellent communication skills, ability to work well autonomously in a team setting, Accountable, analytical, methodical, strategic, situational awareness and strong attention to detail.
Primary Responsibilities
Designs, codes, debugs, optimizes, and releases both frontend and backend components as well as internal tools.
Performs code reviews of pull requests.
Assists junior engineers with development and SDLC processes.
Works closely with QA analysts for feature and regression testing.
Writes and maintains unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
Helps select and incorporate new tools and technologies.
Drives continuous improvement of best practices within the development team.
Identifies and recommends where increased automation, performance enhancements, application enhancements, and quality enhancements may be incorporated.
Remains flexible and responsive to changing priorities and multiple, concurrent responsibilities.
Keeps current with emerging technologies and technological developments within the industry.
