Job Description
The Analyst Quality Engineering is a highly motivated and versatile person to work with the Asset Servicing Reporting and Front Office (ASRFO) engineering team, with analysis, testing and support responsibilities.
As part of the engineering team you will take ownership and responsibility/accountability for the investigation of incidents, problems and business queries, for testing technology solutions in accordance with the business requirements and for supporting the systems owned and managed by the team.
The successful applicant is someone who wants to do technical analysis work, is pro-active in taking ownership of tasks and issues, and can communicate effectively with both technology and business teams. 1-2 years experience is required with a willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
Key Accountability:
- Fulfil a role in the testing and support of the ASRFO systems, including overnight support on rotational basis
- Resolve and monitor support issues and problem records that arise as well as perform routine maintenance activities in conjunction with other NAB technology groups.
- Perform project activities as directed by the test lead.
- Work under guidance of the Stream Lead Reporting and Front Office.
- Perform hands on functional, system, performance and regression testing.
- Contribute to the development of test cases, Master Test Plans and Test Summary Reports.

- Innovate and embed Quality Engineering practices.
- Promote shared goals of creating high quality software.
- Recognized as a key contributor to the innovation, development and implementation of changes relating to value control and reconciliations
- Evidence of potential cost savings through process simplification, optimization and automation
- Stakeholder engagement recognised as trusted advisor to the business
Experience
- It is expected that the role holder will most likely have the following qualifications and experience
- 1-2+ years Testing experience
- Agile software development practices
- DevOps capabilities
- Testing standards, tooling, automation
- Technical acumen in technologies associated with complex and deeply integrated systems eg: e2e domain, business logic and technology (framework/service architecture)
- Expert with CI/CD, TDD, BDD
- Expert in Quality Engineering
- APIs, microservices
To be successful in the role, you will be familiar the following technologies:
- Microsoft SQL
- Data Warehouse/Data Integration
Exposure to the following will also be beneficial
- qTest
- Control-M
- Excel/VBA
Essential capabilities
- Experience in providing technology client service
- Proven ability to use relevant data analytics approaches and tools to problem-solve and trouble-shoot.
- Knowledge & experience with Build languages
- Focus on quality and detail.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Strong commitment to quality and auditability
Qualification Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in technology related degree
