The Oil-free Air lab is looking for candidate for the high-tech prototype department with a strong interest in the combination of practical and theoretical electro-mechanics.

As Engineering Test Leader, your mission is to lead from the front, to deliver & participate in the development of new Products. In close cooperation with the design department, you will be responsible for the construction, the testing and evaluation of new machines and components.

You will strive improving Time to Market of our products and driving the technical competence in engineering test domain.

You shall achieve this, by developing the technical competence of the team and by reorienting the team energy towards Innovations, Product Applications & Technology Platforms

Key Responsibilities

Customer Focus

  • Timely execution of test plan of the New Product Introduction (NPI) projects of Compressor Technique products.
  • Create & maintain various Dashboards, KPI to Control, Monitor & Improve the Quality, Delivery, and the cost parameters.
  • Ensure communication at Project Team meeting and Product committee meeting level and demonstrate ownership of engineering test

People Focus

  • Guiding the technicians in preparing the tests
  • Create the Team spirit towards Driving Customer Success & Improving Business Results
  • Training and education of cross functional team

Technology Focus

  • Drive the innovation culture in the team to nurture innovative ideas and focus improvements of processes.
  • Designing test stands and test programs in consultation with the project leader
  • Development of new test cells as per requirements adhering to latest standards.
  • Development of innovative testing methodologies such as vibrations and noise measurement and other component level test programs.

Product Focus

  • Testing prototypes and components
  • Analysing test results
  • Reporting these results and experiences
  • Investigating possible solutions
  • Monitoring endurance tests

Operational Excellence

  • Bring Transparency in resource Planning to indicate the Resource Occupancy on different Projects and identify potential bottlenecks.
  • Should have the knowledge of standard IT tools and systems such as Enovia, technical file etc.
  • Focus on process improvement and 5S

Experience Requirement:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Mechanical/Electrical/ Industrial/Electromechanics engineering
  • Experience with operational issues
  • First-hand experience of working on NPI projects in prototype test and validation
  • Experience on various compressor endurance testing and test set-up establishments.
  • Should have the knowledge and experience of product Legal requirements and testing related to it.

Knowledge Requirement:

  • Expertise in prototype tests in Product Development environment.
  • Expertise in different package level as well as component level testing like qualification tests, vibration, noise and endurance tests.
  • Good knowledge on test cell development and test program development
  • Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Design Review Processes is essential
  • Good knowledge of PLM & PDM tools (e.g., BPCS, Enovia, SAP etc.)
  • Deep Knowledge of Atlas Copco CT products would be an added advantage.
