Position Summary :

Ortho Clinical Diagnostics is seeking Software Engineer – eConnectivity Application to be part of Ortho’s e-Connectivity™, OrthoPLUS™, and related systems. eConnectivity ™ is Ortho’s proprietary IoT and cloud-based solution that is used to support Ortho’s devices and products in customer labs. OrthoPLUS™ is a user authenticated web-based reporting and tool platform for eConnectivity ™ and related data.The principal accountabilities of this position are to develop, support and implement technical solutions to defined problems and opportunities. Provide ASPAC regional extension to the global e-Connectivity™ and related systems support team to maintain the system, deploy updates, assist business in integrating updates and ensuring those updates are compliant with Global Regulatory requirements. This will require understanding objectives across a diverse array of platforms, databases, software, hardware, technologies, and tools.

Partner with Ortho’s Orthocare service and related business teams in deployment and business integration of e-Connectivity™ solutions. This position ideally is suited to a self-motivated individual, capable of operating with minimal levels of supervision.

Major Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Work with the Global Information Systems team in developing and supporting solutions within or directly associated to the companies e-Connectivity™ and OrthoPLUS™ application frameworks.
  • Follow System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process to support and test complex solutions.
  • Interface with IT managers, developers, and business users.
  • Support and troubleshoot production systems as required and inform the global e-Connectivity™ team.
  • Foster day-to-day client relationships to support on-going and future business needs.
  • Partner with business fields to integrate product data into value added services.
  • Support management, in helping to strategize, define and integrate future technologies.

Qualifications :

Minimum Education or Equivalent Experience Required/Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent hands on experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years programming experience with at least 3 years of end to end solution deliveries.
  • Comfortable in working in with a mixture of technologies including ASP.NET, C#, Java, javascript, Highcharts, CSS, Azure DevOps, SSIS, SSRS, and Dundas.
  • Experienced in working integrated applications with databases and writing queries against databases.
  • Experienced on complex PL/SQL design, coding, troubleshooting and performance tuning
  • Experienced on client side application development using java script frameworks.
  • Experienced on Web servers and highly secured web application deployment process.
  • Working with team members on high-level database design
  • Has experience in service-oriented architecture and SDLC process.
  • Proven analytical problem solving and debugging skills
  • Comfortable working with development platforms like Visual Studio and SQL server enterprise, Microsoft integration services and reporting services.
  • Proactive, self-motivated with the ability to motivate others and a customer-focused service attitude.

Minimum Years of Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required/Preferred

  • Experienced in source code management – preferred, Git / Azure DevOps.
  • Experienced in code libraries like C#.
  • Experience in designing and developing web services using REST and JSON
  • Desirable: familiarity with columnar databases like AWS Redshift.
  • Desirable: Web user interface experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript technologies.
  • Desirable: Medical device validation, install qualifications, and regulatory knowledge.
  • SQL Server, Oracle, Amazon Aurora and Red Shift
