URGENT OPENING for Research Chemist / Senior Research Chemist, Medicinal Chemistry Location – Manesar, Gurgaon Industry-Drug Discovery & Development 5days working from office Qualification-MSC-Organic Chemistry Position-5 Exp.- 1 yr. to 4 yrs Summary & Scope of Position: Performs a variety of laboratory experiments using established synthetic methods and techniques under general guidance of project leaders in the medicinal chemistry group. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures and performs a variety of tasks. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity is expected. Scope includes compound discovery and development and synthetic/manufacturing process improvements. Can train and supervise scientific personnel Primary Responsibilities: Performing multi-step synthesis of the target molecules or intermediates. Designing of synthetic routes for target molecules using newer and innovative synthetic methodologies Purification of compounds, e.g. via chromatography, crystallization etc. Ensuring compliance with applicable safety and regulatory requirements High quality scientific reading/writing Characterization of compounds/intermediates using spectral techniques such as, NMR, MS, IR, HPLC etc. Literature search through Scifinder User experience with ChemDraw, ISIS draw, MS Office. Documenting experiments in LNB and maintain the data. Maintenance and protection of intellectual property (Research schemes, journals, analytical data, material/product safety data sheets etc.) Participating as appropriate in the human resources activities of the department (staffing, training, performance management, and employee development). Qualifications/Requirements/Skills: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry with 1-3 years relevant, hands-on experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
