The Prime Team is seeking an exceptional Technical Program Manager for delivering challenging programs for Core Services Tech within the Prime team. Core Services enables business and technology teams by building and operating fundamental technical blocks for Prime Applications and CX. The team increases the scale and pace of Prime innovation by expediting architectural evolution, building capabilities that will be leveraged by Prime and partners worldwide, and strengthening the foundation underlying a more inspiring and cohesive CX and a compelling value proposition. As a TPM for Amazon Prime Core Services team, you will work with various software and business teams to identify and drive innovative solutions that achieve business goals. This role requires working closely with the product management team and key software development teams across the company to define strategy and requirements, and lead development design through delivery and subsequent operation. This position requires regular communication with executive management on status, risks and product strategy. Excellent listening, writing skills and strong technical competency are essential. A successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent analytical and problem solving skills and great project management and communication skills. Responsibilities: . Be a guardian of world-class customer experience for your deliverables: continually raise the bar on functionality, flow, consistency, usability, and simplicity . Partner effectively with technical managers to secure resources, scope engineering efforts, set project priorities, milestones, and drive delivery . Own engagement with the partners, work to decompose requirements into technical execution plans with multiple development teams, track progress towards goals, and report status to product, business development, and technical leadership . Apply process improvement methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean, Kaizen) . Help make the right feature trade-offs to ship software without compromising customer experience and business relevance . Engage with many other teams in the company, evangelizing the team and your project, building relationships and helping identify existing components and technologies that can be leveraged to deliver on our goals Basic Qualifications : . 5+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams . 2+ years of technical program management experience . Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules . . Solid understanding of the design approaches and industry technologies utilized in your program area . A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional projects. . Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences. . Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position . Manage the overall schedule, proactively mitigate risks, and keep the scope of engineering efforts under control . Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
