Job description: Achieve Nursing Excellence- Introducing and implementing global nursing protocols, standards (SOPs) and practices to enable JCI and Magnet certification.- Providing specialist education and training to nursing staff to improve quality of patient care.- Coach and mentor Nursing Staff to develop and groom them as leaders following a Capability Passport model.Institutionalize SOPs and Protocols- Create the nursing SOPs and protocols (including but not limited to safety protocols) as per global healthcare standards for the nursing department- Implement and ensure 100% compliance to the defined nursing protocols and SOPs. Teach protocols and SOPs to nursing staff in a way that they implement rigorously.- Train nursing staff in the above protocols and SOPs to embed them in the organization- Do an internal audit of existing systems/protocols in the nursing department through:a. Interaction with doctors and nurses (to understand gaps in staff/quality/skill sets, etc.)b. Benchmark against international practices/normsc. Analyzing customer satisfaction surveysClinical Accreditation Standards- Chart out an action plan to bring in sustainable changes in quality of nursing. Benchmark against International Accreditation Standards and create action plan to mitigate gaps.- Infection control / medication management protocol assessment and create suitable action plan to mitigate gaps. Review and update record formats, work flows and patterns to reduce duplication.- Review competencies of Nurses and suggest programs for skill improvement. Groom and develop senior nurses through coaching/mentoring/training.- Roll-out plans/programs for retention of key talent in Nursing Department.- Support the team to set and achieve – stretch- goals; shares developmental feedback and supports the performance improvement efforts of the team;Required Education :BSc. Nursing or Master’s /MSc. degree in Nursing from a reputed institute or equivalentPreferred Education :Certifications such as ACLS, PALS (preferred)- Exposure to all areas relevant for providing highest quality of nursing services (especially in cardiac care). Should have headed the Nursing Function of a reputed multi-specialty Hospital and should have experience of Nursing Training.- Should have depth and breadth of Nursing experience and knowledge, like best-in-industry processes, training programs, etc. Should have exposure to world class nursing protocols/ SOPs and implementing the same.
